The plan for day 2.

Tomorrow (Day 2), I'll go thru Joseph, OR and take a FS road over the Wallowa Mountains and down into Hells Canyon. From there I'll cross into Idaho and start heading NE toward Kamiah, ID.
I've never riden into Hells Canyon and the road into and out of it is supposed to be curvy and have great scenery. The trip up through Idaho includes some old grades like White Bird Grade. These old grades were originally the way thru, but have since been replaced with modern highway. The old grades contain lots of switchbacks which allowed the low powered vehicles of old to climb the steep grades. These old roads are usually a blast on a motorcycle!
